MEN IN SHEDS GREEK STYLE

ON MY RECENT HOLIDAY IN GREECE I CAME ACROSS THIS FINE BUNCH OF FELLOWS.
MEN IN SHEDS SKIATHOS
I AM NOT SURE THAT PLAYING CARDS, SMOKING AND DRINKING OUZO WOULD GO DOWN THAT WELL IN BLIDWORTH.
BUT I SUPPOSE WE COULD ALWAYS SWAP THE OUZO FOR WHISKY.

FIRST DONATION

Thanks to John Bryan for the first donation of a woodworking tool.
He explained to me (at length and in detail !!) how an ancestor, Little John Bryan, had used the spoke shave to fashion Robin Hoods bow.

But seriously thanks for the belt sander. I am sure it will come in very useful.

Its taken me all day to turn one leg.

Visit to Larkhill

I met Bill at Larkhill Village in Clifton today.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Hello

This is my first attempt at a blog so please bear with me.

Welcome to my new home.

As you can see from the pictures, not so much a blank canvas more of an abstract painting of the furniture department of John Lewis.

Over the coming weeks I hope to create a workshop for older men in the North Nottinghamshire former coal-mining communities.

If you have any ideas or would like to donate any good quality woodworking tools or know of somebody who may benefit from the project please contact me.
