Full on at the Shed this week. We were visited by Barry Golding ( 3rd from the left) and his lady wife. He is a patron of The Australian Mens Sheds Association. He was on his way to give a talk to a Mens Sheds conference in Leicester.
We have also made contact with the Mansfield Shed in Victoria, Australia and had preliminary talks about twinning and sharing information and ideas. Welcome to Paul Sladdin the latest friend of our blog.
John Musson was on holiday in the Lake District last week and popped in to the Shed in Kendall. He was well received and had a great time with the Lakeland Shedders.
We had a visit on the 28th September from John Evoy of The Irish Mens Sheds Association. It was good to get positive news of the growing Shed movement in Ireland. Whilst he was here he was presented with a pen created by our resident lathe expert Pete Bostock. We made him promise to use it when writing cheques for all the new Sheds he is able to start when he gets home.
Pete is also our health and safety expert.
He is seen here modelling our latest safety clothing.
Colin and John take a well earned rest after restoring a bench for Newark and District Housing.

its allways noisy
Its great to hear noise in the shed.
The members are really starting to move the project forward.
We have our first steering group meeting tomorrow.
The Greenwood Partrnership Scheme have just asked us to provide twenty bird box kits for kids to assemble at one of their action days.
As soon as the men heard about this they set about sorting out a template.
The local PCSO's popped in for a chat and a cuppa today. One of them ordered two bird tables the other arranged for me to have a talk to a local Sheltered Housing group in the village.
Pete Bostock is producing some great stuff at the lathe.
